Al largo delle coste grece la nave britannica "St. Georges" affonda con il suo prezioso carico: un sofisticato trasmettitore denominato T.A.C. Per recuperare il macchinario intorno al relitto si affannano sia i britannici (che incaricano dell`impresa il loro migliore agente, James Bond) che i russi.

Moore makes his fifth appearance as 007 in this, the twelfth Bond film. In this outing, the renowned British double agent must locate a weapons system known as ATAC, which controls Great Britain`s submarines, after it is sunk on a ship in the Ionian Sea. While he must contend with a formidable foe in the villain known as Kristatos, he does have the lovely and talented Melina, the daughter of a scientist killed by Kristatos, on his side.

Für mich einer der vier besten Bondfilmen von den bisher 22 ! Gute Schauspieler, gute Geschichte, guter Action !

Die Bildqualität ist total gut - gestochen scharf und tolle Farben. Auch der Ton ist absolut top. Ich liebe die alten Bond-Filme.

... for ever and ever! Zur Abwechslung mal mit der Musik von Bill Conti statt John Barry, und die finde ich super! Und Carole Bouquet ist eine Klasse für sich. Schade, dass der Lotus schon so früh dran glauben muss ... Trotzdem: Für mich der beste Bond mit tollen Schauplätzen und Schauspielern!
